You've probably got a few questions right? These are some of the most frequently asked, so please check if your answer is here and if not, shoot us an email at email@example.com
Q: WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING? IS IT THE SAME AS EMBROIDERY OR FEATHERING?
A: Microblading and Feather touch tattooing are both forms of cosmetic tattoo which is a semi-permanent procedure that uses a fine blade to place pigment into the skin that mimics natural hair strokes. It is a 2 part procedure that involves your initial appointment where the most of your shape is completed and a follow-up appointment 6-8 weeks later (*included in price) where we perfect any areas that need attention. In same cases a digital machine will be used to create the fine hair strokes, resulting in the same natural looking result.
We prefer a natural "real looking" shape and style of cosmetic tattoo, but if you would prefer something more structured, please let us know prior to your appointment. This is about you getting your ideal brows.
The Peach Club also offers cosmetic tattoo treatments for light subtle and natural looking freckles, eyeliner as well as peachy kissed lip blush tattooing.
Q: HOW LONG DOES COSMETIC TATTOOING LAST?
A: As microblading is a semi-permanent procedure, it can last between 12months - 2 years depending on your skin type, the skincare products you use and how you take care of your cosmetic tattooing. It's recommend that clients come in for an annual touch-up to ensure the brows remain crisp and the colour fresh. The same touch-up system applies for lips, eyeliner, freckles and para medical procedures.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
A: Your first appointment can take approximately 2-3 hours and includes shape design, numbing, ink colour matching and the procedure.
Q: DOES IT HURT?
A: Please remember this is a tattoo, we will do our best to ensure the least amount of pain as possible. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the brow area prior to the tattooing. Most clients find the procedure less painful than plucking or threading.
Q: HEALING AND AFTERCARE
Immediately after the procedure, your brows may feel tender. After a few days, your brows will begin to heal. In some cases, a small amount of light scabbing may occur, similar to flakey skin from a healing spot. After your appointment, a helpful day-by-day chart will be provided outlining the different stages of healing, if you find yourself confused or worried, the chart will help guide you through your cosmetic tattoo healing journey.
Tip: Your brows may appear to look bold the day after your procedure, this will subside within 2-4 days.
*Aftercare for Lips, freckles and any other cosmetic procedure will be customised for the individual and emailed directly to you after your procedure.
1. Wash with cool boiled water 4 hours after the procedure. Using a clean disposable cotton pad, wipe brows with 4 firm-ish wipes. Don't apply any aftercare, leave to dry heal for the night.
2. Repeat this step am/pm. If your skin is an oily or heavy combination type, there is no need to apply aftercare cream. If your skin is dry, light combination, after washing, apply aftercare cream using a wipe on/wipe off method (where you only leave a little on your brows, a lip balm amount of cream, not too much!)
3. No water except when cleaning and no picking!
Q: IS A TOUCH-UP INCLUDED AND WHY DO I NEED ONE?
A: One touch-up is included in pricing. Review and touch-up appointments are necessary to assess how well your skin has healed and perfect any areas that need attention. You will be due for your review session approx. 6 - 8 weeks from your appointment. Touch-up appointments are much shorter and usually, run for 1.5hrs - 2 hrs.
Q: IS COSMETIC TATTOO FOR EVERYONE?
A: Everyone's skin is different and therefore may heal differently from this procedure. Depending on your skin type and how well your body heals from small scabs, some areas might retain pigment better than others. Based on our expertise, we will do our best to ensure pigment is placed well within the skin to achieve exceptional results. A small percentage of women might need two touch-ups instead of one based on how the skin heals. Please be patient and know that we are committed to getting you the results you want.
Microblading is a safe and reliable procedure and suitable for most people. However, if you have any of the following conditions, please consult with your doctor before attempting this procedure and bring a doctor's note with you to your appointment. If you have any of the following conditions and do not have a legitimate doctor's note with approval, we cannot perform this procedure for you. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- Avoid drinking excessive alcohol and coffee prior to your appointment. It would be great if you could avoid it all together and hydrate with water and healthy foods.
- Come in WITH your brows, lips or eyeliner drawn on the way you usually would or not at all if you usually have nothing on them. It's helpful for me to see the shape you're comfortable with. I will measure and re-shape according to your face structure. We can work together to create a shape you love! Other make-up is fine as well.
- Avoid blood-thinning pain relief. I will be numbing your brows prior to tattooing so pain will be minimal.
- Ensure you have something to eat before your appointment, keep your body happy and healthy. (Just like a normal tattoo)
- Who can you bring? You may bring one friend only you if you like.
- Don't stress, this is meant to be fun and exciting! You will have control over your shape and colour, I will work to create the most flattering and beautiful brow, lip or eyeliner shape for your face.
